Just another day in the life of Lindsay Lohan …

Lindsay Lohan appeared in court on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith L. Schwartz said sternly: “You’re in a different situation now with a felony. You’re no different than anyone else, so please, don’t push your luck.”

The actress, who wore a skin-tight short white dress, replied: “Yes, sir.”

During the 10 minute hearing, attorney Shawn Chapman Holley told the judge that Lindsay is seeking to negotiate a plea deal.

The judge also ordered the defendant to have no further contact with the jewelry store owners – who told D.A. Danette Meyers that they were freaked out when they received flowers from Lindsay after the necklace was returned.

Bail was set at $40,000 and a bondsman made arrangements just minutes after she was booked. The next hearing is set for February 23.
