Lindsay Lohan and her enabler mother Dina Lohan have been interviewing any number of potential new lawyers. They are on a mission to fill the void left by Shawn Holley Coleman, who quit the troubled celebrity the day after Judge Marsha Revel doled out the 90-day jail and 90-day inpatient rehab sentence.

High profile criminal defense attorney Stuart V. Goldberg from Chicago spent six hours with Lilo, her sister Ali and mother Dina. The legal eagle had some interesting observations to make after leaving the trio of women — including the fact that Lilo “doesn’t get it.”

He said, “My impression of Lindsay is that she’s a fragile lost child — a sleeping beauty with her head in the sand. I found her not fully forewarned of the consequence of her actions. I’m concerned that she’s not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences. She doesn’t seem to have the awareness of what’s going to befall her.”

Goldberg indicated that he had a “heart to heart conversation” with Lindsay and outlined his requirements for taking on the case: “100 percent loyalty and zero tolerance for dishonesty.” Reflecting upon the meeting, he acknowledged: “They didn’t seem to understand the urgency and gravity of the situation.”

The lawyer said that at one point in their discussion he became concerned that Lohan “was in a dangerous state”. He asked her if she was considering hurting herself: “She started sobbing quietly. She was genuinely in pain.”

Unless Lindsay can pull a miracle out of her hat, she will be reporting to Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood to begin her incarceration on July 20th — seven days from now.

FYI – Goldberg did not take on the case. His fee schedule was reportedly too steep for the struggling actress.
