Lady GaGa donned a latex condom-inspired outfit for her appearance on Good Morning America, Thursday, February 17.
Sitting down with GMA’s Robin Roberts, GaGa wore a flesh-colored latex sheath with matching shoes and a sculptural off-white hat, as part of her AIDS awareness campaign.
“Today was a latex condom-inspired outfit because we’re here to talk about safe sex. Today I really wanted to be representative of what we women all over the world need to be concerned about, which is the leading cause of death in the world, which is HIV,” said GaGa.
Promoting MAC cosmetics Viva Glam lipstick, GaGa gave Roberts a sample of the taupe lipstick and lip glass she designed for the brand.
“MAC has been fighting for identity and for passion and love and protection for so long,” said Gaga.
“Born This Way is about self-love, and MAC AIDS Fund is about self-love,” GaGa said, tying her new song in with the effort. “It is so much bigger than me,” she said. “It’s not about me at all. The song, when I wrote it, I just knew it was destined to reach so many people all over the world. The most humbling thing for me this past weekend is watching the fans harness onto the record and … really enjoying the music and feeling uplifted and a sense of positivity.”
100% of the proceeds of the Viva Glam line goes to AIDS/HIV prevention.
