Jennifer Aniston is on the defensive against FOX News host Bill O’Reilly, the television commentator who took a swipe at her for comments she made while hyping her latest film project “The Switch”.
In the movie she plays a woman who has a baby using a sperm donor, and the premise is something the actress has apparently considered a viable option in her personal life.
The self-described “traditionalist” got all lathered up when the 41-year-old former Friends star was quoted as saying: “Women are realizing more and more that they don’t have to settle with a man just to have a child.”
O’Reilly weighed in with the following: “She’s throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds that, ‘Hey, you don’t need a guy! You don’t need a dad!’ That’s destructive to our society.”
Jen spoke to People magazine, who gave her an opportunity to publicly counter his attack. She did so by expanding on her original stance with a clever response: “Of course, the ideal scenario for parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age.”
She went on to say: “Parenting is one of the hardest jobs on earth. And, of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming with fatherly instincts, but for those who’ve not yet found their Bill O’Reilly, I’m just glad science has provided a few other options.”
The ball is back in your court Bill O. Bring it on or move on!
