Hilary Duff did an interview this week that will air on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday, October 25. She has been making the talk show rounds to promote her book Elixir, already on the New York Times Best Seller List. She also dished about her summer wedding.
On August 14, the actress married NHL star Mike Comrie. She regaled Ellen with a horror story that occurred just hours before she was set to walk down the aisle.
Duff related the nightmarish pre-nup event: “The beginning part of the day I lost my tooth. The tooth fell out in my hand. Thank God I didn’t swallow it. Not good for a bride on her wedding day. I bit into a bagel. I was sitting on the bed with my mom and my sister and they’re like ‘You’re an idiot, you did not. Come on!'”
The mishap occurred at 11:00 a.m., with just hours before she would be slipping into her wedding dress. She said: “I started laughing at myself and then I really burst into tears.”
Her wedding planner saved the day with a quick phone call to the friend of a family member who happened to be a top dentist in Montecito.
Duff gushed about the nuptials: “The actual wedding was perfect.” They exchanged their vows with a stunning sunset as a backdrop.
On an unrelated note, earlier this month we reported that hubby Mike Comrie was being sued for defaulting on his Mercedes car loan to the tune of $100K. With Hilary’s successful first novel, we’re guessing that little bump in the road will be cleared up soon.
We’ll add the Ellen video when it is available. In the meantime, check out wedding video below:
