Kennedy family matriarch Ethel Kennedy has put her stamp of approval on the budding romance between her grandson Conor Kennedy and Taylor Swift.
When asked by a reporter if she could envision Taylor becoming a Kennedy some day, the famously outspoken Ethel promptly replied: “We should be so lucky!”
Young Kennedy, 18, is the son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the late Mary Kennedy, who tragically took her own life in May.
So how did the teen become so chummy with the 22-year-old country star? It all began with Aunt Rory Kennedy.
RK revealed, “I went to a concert with my two daughters and that’s how it all started. She’s a great friend of all of ours. She’s awesome and we love her.”
Swift spent a long weekend at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port on Cape Cod. The entertainer and Conor were photographed sailing and enjoying pizza with Ethel and a large group of aunts, uncles and cousins.
