Dancing with the Stars kicked off week 2 of Season 11 on ABC Monday night with the eleven remaining couples. The jive and the quickstep caused problems for some and elevated others to the top of the leaderboard.

Riding high for the second week of competition are Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Grey and Derek, who earned a 24. Not far behind at 23 were Audrina Patridge and her partner Tony who dazzled with the quickstep.

Grey, who made waves when she had a nose job, remarked that she is short on stamina and demonstrated that fact by literally laying on the floor after last night’s performance.

Patridge, who brings new meaning to the concept of being thin, needs to eat a triple-decker sandwich. When the camera caught her side profile, the Hills actress nearly disappeared from view.

Two celebrities scored 22 with their quicksteps: Bristol Palin and Mark, and Kyle Massey and Lacey.

Palin and Ballas traveled to Alaska earlier in the week to shoot some footage to be used on the show, tweeting photos along the way. Sarah Palin and her youngest daughter Piper were in the audience during Monday night’s performance. Tom Bergeron chatted up the former governor of Alaska during a break in the action. Her favorite performer so far? She was saving her praise for Bristol, who hadn’t yet danced.

It was a three-way tie at 21 for the jivers: Rick Fox and Cheryl, Brandy and Maks, and Kurt Warner and Anna.

Hovering near the bottom with 19 for their quickstep were Florence Henderson and Corky. At 18 with the jive is Margaret Cho and Louis, and with a not so amazing quickstep Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Karina.

Wallowing in the bottom of the barrel are Michael Bolton and Chelsie. Their dismal jive earned them an unprecedented 12. Bruno gave the dance a 3 – the lowest score ever handled out by a DWTS judge.
