The 2012 Sexiest Man Alive bragging rights go to actor Channing Tatum, the newest recipient to be named by PEOPLE magazine.
The Magic Mike celebrity was a shoe-in for this year’s coveted title after performing as the star stripper at Xquisite Strip Club in the comedy-drama film that turned out to be a box office success.
Tatum, 32, a former model and dancer, met actress Jenna Dewan on the set of Step Up in 2006. They got engaged in Hawaii in September 2008 and wed on the grounds of a vineyard in Malibu the following summer.
What does Dewan-Tatum think of her husband’s new title? She revealed, “He is such an emotionally deep, spiritual and open-hearted person.”
The decidedly busy actor will appear in four movies in 2013: G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Bitter Pill, White House Down and Foxcatcher and is already working on three more for 2014.
