It’s official. The show that took teens of the 90’s by storm is making its way back to MTV. Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head will be back on the network with new episodes.

The theme of the show will remain the same, with the crude, deadbeat boys still in high school and still rock fanatics — although the music will include current artists like Lady Gaga. The minimalist animated style is also expected to remain intact.

The dynamic duo was so successful they were spun off into a movie in 1996, “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.” After that, Mike Judge went on to create King of the Hill, another huge hit.

The new episodes will be the first to air in 13 years. In the 90’s, the show was all about being a slacker and it developed a significant cult following. It will be interesting to see how it does this time around.
