Barbara Billingsley 1915-2010 — Leave it to Beaver
Best known for her role as June Cleaver on Leave it to Beaver, Barbara Billingsley passed away this morning at the age of 94. She was at her Santa Monica home when she died.
From 1957 to 1963 and in decades of reruns, the glamorous June wore pearls and high heels while taking care of her husband Ward (Hugh Beaumont) and sons Beaver (Jerry Mathers) and Wally (Tony Dow).
Barbara, a former model, was married three times and had two sons. Her hobbies included playing poker, tennis, watching movies, gardening, travel, wine tasting and spending time with her family.
Working up until last year, she had cameos on several television shows, Rosanne (1995), Mysterious Ways (2000), My Name is Earl (2007) and The Office (2009).
The actress suffered from rheumatoid disease.
