As police roared to the Hollywood Hills crib of Ashton Kutcher Wednesday for what turned out to be a home invasion hoax, the actor hit Twitter to let his 12.5 million followers know that he was unharmed.

A fake distress call was received by LAPD in the form of a text message from someone who claimed to be cowering in a bathroom after shots had been fired inside the residence.

Three people were at the actor’s home when police arrived on scene but they were determined to be workers who were just carrying out their jobs.

Kutcher got wind of the false alarm and posted a set photo that he tagged, “Safe and sound at Two and a Half Men.”

Miley Cyrus is seen reading her lines from a script with her television love interest Angus T. Jones in the still photo shared by Kutcher – more photos here.

She is also a recent victim of a home invasion hoax that police characterized as a ‘swatting’ prank.
