Columbian model Angie Sanclemente Valencia is accused of operating a drug smuggling ring and has been on the run since Interpol issued a warrant for her arrest two weeks ago.

It’s believed that Colombian-born Valencia had been seeing a Mexican drug lord known as ‘The Monster’ but split with him at the end of last year to form her own cocaine-smuggling gang.

Valencia, who was crowned Colombia’s ‘Queen Of Coffee’ in 2000, left modelling and moved to Argentina late last year to establish her network.

She reportedly uses models as mules to transport drugs from South America to Europe.

According to the La Nacion, Valencia describes the women working for her as “unsuspicious, beautiful angels”. The women are told to be “nice, but not flashy”.

Valencia’s “angels” were allegedly paid $4,765 for each trip from Argentina to Cancun and then into Europe. One of her mules is said to have made the trip, carrying packages of cocaine, every 24 hours.

Several weeks ago one of the women was caught at Argentina’s Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires carrying 55 kilos of cocaine.

The 21-year-old shared information with authorities that led to the arrest of three other people and the warrant for Valencia.
