Glee Season 5 Filming Delayed as Cast Grieves Loss of Cory Monteith
The producers of the hit Fox show 'Glee' announced yesterday on Facebook that the fifth season premiere date will be moved to Sept. 26 due to a delay in filming as cast members grieve the loss of Cory Monteith.
Lea Michele and the rest of the close-knit 'Glee' cast will take a break from filming until early August. The hiatus will also give the script writers a chance to determine how they will deal with the loss of Monteith's character Finn Hudson.
Actress Dianna Agron, who played Quinn Fabray for three seasons, released this statement, "In this difficult time, I am leaning on all of the wonderful memories we shared with Cory, how many ways he was able to make us smile. Glee was a gift to all of us. It gave us a family in this industry."
"My heart goes out to his family, to Lea, to everyone that is struggling with the loss of our friend. We will miss you Cory. We will always carry a piece of you with us."
