Emma Watson Scoffs at 'Fifty Shades' Rumors
Emma Watson of 'Harry Potter' fame hit Twitter to blast rumors suggesting she had signed on to appear in 'Fifty Shades of Grey.'
It all started last week when the hacker known as Anonymous claimed to have acquired documents from Constantin Film's computer server, in Germany, indicating that Watson was attached to 'Fifty Shades.'
The 22-year-old, who played Hermione Granger in eight films from 2001-2011, was quick to set the record straight. She will not be playing Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of the E.L. James novel.
Watson tweeted, "Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life."
Her fans responded in large numbers to weigh in and re-tweet the question 35,000 times. It was at that point that Emma put one last fine point on the subject when she added, "Good. Well that's that sorted then." She later added a smiley face.
Author E.L. James noted on her Twitter page, "There have been no casting decisions made about Fifty Shades."
