Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Sweep 2012 CMA Awards

The 46th Annual CMA Awards were broadcast live on ABC Thursday night in Nashville with Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood returning for another hosting gig.

It turned out to be a very successful night for Blake Shelton and his wife Miranda Lambert.  They became true Country royalty last night after winning the trifecta.

'The Voice' judge was named Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.  His wife picked up Female Vocalist of the Year honors and the tune they co-wrote, 'Over You,' picked up Song of the Year.

Little Big Town picked up awards in two categories: Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year for 'Pontoon.'

Album of the Year honors went to Eric Church for 'Chief,' and Thompson Square was named Vocal Duo of the Year.

New Artist of the Year went to Hunter Hayes.
