Executive producer Ron Howard is bringing back the defunct television comedy 'Arrested Development' that was dumped by ABC in 2006 after three seasons.

The 58-year-old former actor will pick up where he left off as producer and narrator with an added twist.

He'll appear in front of the camera after more than three decades out of the spotlight following his successful 60's stint on 'Andy of Mayberry' and the iconic 70's hit 'Happy Days.'

Original cast members reprising their former 'AD' roles include Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor and Jessica Walter.

Ron revealed, "I don't think I'm giving away too much to say I'm going to wind up on camera in the new 'Arrested Development' episodes.  I'm a little nervous.  I have to shoot my first scene next week and I realized it's been a hell of a long time since I memorized any dialogue.  I've become very used to being the one sitting with my arms folded in judgment and suddenly I'll be back out there!"

All 10 episodes of 'Arrested Development' Season 4 will be released at the same time on Netflix in early 2013.
