Fred Willard Fired By PBS After Lewd Conduct Arrest
It didn't take PBS long to fire Fred Willard after learning that he was arrested at an adult movie theater in Hollywood for exposing himself.
Within hours of the comedic actor's widely reported trip to jail, the network took action and gave him a swift boot.
The 78-year-old was the voice-over man for PBS's Antique Roadshow spinoff 'Market Warriors.'
Jeanne Hopkins, a rep for the shows producer WGBH, released a statement: "Given the unfortunate news reported today, effective immediately, Fred Willard no longer will be involved with the 'Market Warriors' series."
Moving quickly to replace Willard, it has already been announced that Mark Walberg will now provide the voice-over for the show.
Fred's attorney Paul Takakjian said, "With all due respect to the individual officer, our belief is that Fred did nothing in any violation of any law. We will be working vigorously to clear his name in this matter."
