Katt Williams Felony Arrest: Intimidating a Witness
Stand-up comedian, rapper and actor Katt Williams was arrested on Saturday afternoon for felony intimation of a witness. The arrest took place in Palmdale, CA at a residence where Williams was staying.
Police told TMZ that a gentleman was doing tractor work at the Palmdale home when he was attacked by three women. The "ladies" were throwing rocks and dirt clods at the day laborer.
The man under siege called his wife to come and pick him up, but when she arrived on the scene and attempted to leave with her husband, the exit was blocked by Katt in his SUV. The worker decided that a call to 911 was his only way out.
Officers arrived on the scene and arrested the women for assault and Williams for felony intimidation of a witness. Katt was booked and bail was set at $50,000. He posted bond and was released Saturday evening.
Williams, who has 8 children, has been arrested and detained by police on two other criminal matters since November 2009. He has maintained his innocence in both cases and said he has begun to feel he is being persecuted by police.
We'll publish the newest booking photo when it is released. In the meantime, check out his last mugshot after the jump:
