Lady Gaga Sorry For Dropping R-bomb

Earlier this week, Lady Gaga flew off the handle over the continuing allegations that her single Born This Way was lifted directly from Madonna's Express Yourself.  In an interview with NME Magazine, the singer expressed her frustration.

She lamented: "I’m a songwriter. I’ve written loads of music. Why would I try to put out a song and think I’m getting one over on everybody? That’s retarded."

Clearly angry, she continued, "If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression.  It's the same one that's been in disco music for the last 50 years.  Just because I'm the first f-ing artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn't mean I'm a plagiarist, it means I'm f-ing smart. Sorry."

Known for embracing acceptance, people were instantly angered at her poor choice of words.  It didn't take long for the singer to realize she had messed up.

In a statement to CNN, Lady G expressed much regret, "I consider it part of my life's work and music to push the boundaries of love and acceptance.  My apologies for not speaking thoughtfully. To anyone that was hurt, please know that it was furiously unintentional.”

She finished her statement by quoting from her Born This Way single: "An honest mistake, requires honesty to make. Whether life's disabilities, left you outcast, bullied, or teased, rejoice and love yourself today."
