Trouble in paradise?

Brad Womack, who was unable to commit during his first stint on The Bachelor in 2007, professed his love for single mom Emily Maynard during last night’s finale but if you were thinking that is the end of the story, you would be wrong.

After bidding good bye to a tearful Chantel O’Brien, Womack spoke to his future bride as dusk was falling over the South African sky.

“You’re the one, Em. You’re my once in a lifetime. Please let me be your once in a lifetime. Please let me be your best friend. Please let me protect you and your beautiful daughter, and please let me love you for the rest of your life. I love you Emily. I am truly in love with you.”

He got down on bended knee as she cupped his face in her hands. He continued: “Emily, please make me happier than I’ve ever been in my life and marry me.”

Maynard, a Children’s Hospital event planner from Charlotte, North Carolina, replied: “I would love to.” He then put a Neil Lane diamond engagement ring on her finger. Her response: “You just made me the happiest girl in the world.”

Their happily-ever-after fairy tale has already encountered a few bumps in the road. The couple actually broke up for a time after the show completed filming, and even now she isn’t ready to get married or move to Austin to be with Brad, citing his volatile temper as an issue.

They talked candidly about it on After the Final Rose. Check out the proposal pic and video below:
