New daddy John Travolta is taking on the lead in the upcoming film Gotti. His facial resemblance to the late John Gotti is striking.
Last night Travolta dined at the Italian restaurant Amici in Brentwood with executive producer Marty Ingels. When asked if he would be playing the boss of the Gambino crime family, John didn’t have much to say but Ingels did. He confirmed that Travolta would be cast as “Teflon Don.”
No other roles have been confirmed — but we do know that James Franco is being considered for the role of John A Junior Gotti.
The elder Gotti was convicted of 13 murders, conspiracy to commit murder, racketeering, obstruction of justice, illegal gambling, extortion, tax evasion and loan sharking. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole and died behind bars on June 10, 2002 at the age of 61 of throat cancer.
The Sony production will be directed by Nick Cassavetes.
