Disney’s Camp Rock star Demi Lovato has quit the Jonas Brothers international concert tour and checked into a treatment center.

Lovato, 18, “left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time,” a rep for the singer said Monday.

“Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions … she is doing just that. Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time,” the statement continued.

According to TMZ, a female dancer on the tour was the “catalyst” that led Lovato to seek help. The website reports that Demi is not seeking treatment for drug use.

A source close to Lovato’s family says, “She was bullied in school. She fought through eating disorders and has struggled with cutting. … Demi is taking control by getting help.”
