Rumor has it that actress Jenny McCarthy will be taking over for media mogul Oprah Winfrey. Come on people, like Oprah could actually be replaced. If you heard and bought into the rumor, give it up now. There is absolutely no truth that Jenny will take over. She did however, sign her own development deal with HARPO – Oprah’s production company.
No word yet on the exact formula of the show, but it will not be anything like “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” HARPO executives wanted to clear up confusion by releasing this statement to the New York Post: “We do not have anyone taking over for Oprah. We do have a development deal with Jenny McCarthy. We are exploring possibilities across a number of platforms.”
Many speculate that McCarthy’s new show will air on Oprah’s network OWN. That has yet to be confirmed. Jenny isn’t the only person Oprah wants to put in a show. Right now on her website she is doing a contest to find the next big TV Talk Show host.
