UFC fighter Tito Ortiz was led away from his Huntington Beach home this morning in handcuffs and transported to an Orange County jail. He was arrested after police officers, responding to a 911 report of a disturbance, determined that his girlfriend was the victim of domestic abuse.

Dana White, president of the UFC, had this to say: “Were gonna be fair, but we could cut him. Other than going on a killing spree, being accused of domestic violence is the worst thing you can have going for you.” White indicates he will wait to see the police reports before making a determination. The charge is reportedly felony domestic abuse.

The call to police at 9:53 a.m. was made by the father of Jenna Jameson. The former porn actress and glamor model lives with the suspect and is the mother of his one-year-old twin sons. Upon arrival at the residence, police observed “visible injuries” on Jameson.

Jenna and her father left the residence later in the day. She told reporters that she plans to press charges and has already filed for a restraining order. Fighting back tears she said, “I’m gonna be alright. My babies are alright … everything’s OK … he’s in jail.”

It has been a very rough day for Jameson. She also reported that she is quitting Twitter, saying “I can’t take any more abuse from ANYONE. To my sweet fans…thank you.”

UPDATE: Tito Ortiz posted $50,000 bail at 4:33 p.m. PT, paid in full with a cashier’s check.
