Brittany Murphy tragically lost her life at the age of 32 on December 20, 2009. Her death was caused by, “community acquired pneumonia, iron deficiency anemia, and multiple drug intoxication” according to the toxicology results that were released by the L.A. County Coroner.
Murphy left her entire estate to her mother Sharon Murphy. In March, Murphy decided to put the 8,ooo sq. ft. Hollywood Hills home up for sale for $7.25 million. Sharon pulled the house off the market when it became obvious to her that it was now a “tour site” for Brittany’s adoring fans and those just trying to get a glimpse into Murphy’s life.
Brittany’s husband Simon Monjack spoke with TMZ about Sharon’s decision, stating that his mother-in-law felt it was inappropriate to be selling the home when her daughter’s personal possessions were still in it.
It is unclear if the home will be listed again in the near future.
