Carrie Underwood performed on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa for a crowd of 10,000 fans. In the 15th row was hometown boy, Ottawa Senators forward Mike Fisher, who happens to be engaged to the American Idol winner and country western singing sensation.
She opened her Play On tour by greeting the crowd, “Hello, Ottawa. So I guess I can kind of consider this my hometown.”
At one point a photo of the happy couple flashed on the screen. She gushed, “Wasn’t that cute?” See couple photos here.
The highlight moment came near the end of the evening when Underwood returned for an encore set wearing a Senators jersey with Fisher’s No 12 on the back.
