This may be a tough time across the nation.

Quite possibly the toughest time in American history.

However, Peacock — yes, a streaming service called Peacock — has now given us a reason to smile:

It has released the first trailer for the Saved by the Bell reboot!

As previously detailed, the revival of this former Saturday morning series will fast forward 30 years in time, giving us a look at a Bayside High School that has both managed to change and remain the same.

There’s a brand new cast of characters as Bayside students, but there’s also A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) as a gym teacher and his wife Jessi Spano (Elizabeth Berkley), who are now married.

And their kids go to their alma mater.

Zack Morris is now Governor of California (for real) and there’s an influx of new Bayside students because he’s been forced to close many of the low-income schools in the state.

To make up for this injustice,  Governor Morris has sent these lower-income teenagers to schools such as Bayside.

While the change proves to be an adjustment for all involved, it turns out to be a good thing for Higgins’ Principal Toddman (John Michael Higgins), who gets the chance to help make a real difference.

Richard Belding never really had such an opportunity on the original.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar is not featured in the teaser, but has said he will make a few appearances on the reboot.

He’s also said that Tiffany-Amber Thiessen will return as Kelly Kapowski and " be in an episode or two with me."

We can’t believe it, either.

We’re having ALL the feels right now, you guys.

Lark Voorhies, however, who played Lisa Turtle and has suffered through a handful of personal setbacks, revealed on a February episode of Dr. Oz that she felt "a bit slighted and hurt when I was not invited to be part of the Saved By the Bell reunion."

"Yet, of course, I also realized that having this puzzling disorder may have played a major part in that factual decision," she said at the time, referring to Lupus and adding:

"With that in mind, I am truly thankful for having had the chance to work on a show that has been so successful."

Who will be featured?

Mitchell Hoog (Roswell, New Mexico), who will play Zach’s son Mac Morris; and Belmont Cameli (Empire), who will portray Jessi’s son, Jamie Spano.

Saved by the Bell will stream exclusively to Peacock, NBCUniversal’s new streaming service.

The platform will launch publicly in July, though Comcast subscribers already have access to its features.
