Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian are no longer a romantic item.
But they will be parents forever and ever and it was in this capacity on Sunday night that the two teamed up to take on Corey Gamble, as the latest Keeping Up with the Kardashians episode centered on a major blowup between Kris Jenner's daughter and boyfriend.
It all started when Kourtney said the following during a family meal:
"You guys, I don't have a nanny anymore.
"She said [Penelope] was really upset. She was putting her in the car, and Penelope scratched her face.
"But P can be out of control. I think she almost blacks out and does these wild things..."
Putting aside for a moment the troubling notion of a toddler blacking out and doing wild things, Gamble took it upon himself and offered up a polarizing opinion:
"If a kid scratched you, can you pop the kid and it's cool?"
Uhhh, what? Excuse you, Corey?
Despite his original question basically getting ignored, Gamble continued along this line of reasoning.
"I'm sorry, but if P scratched me for no reason, I'm whippin' her ass, and I'll explain to y'all later," he said, prompting Disick to simply respond with a WHAT?
"I would whoop her ass..." Corey said again, only for Scott to interrupt and reply:
"You would whoop Penelope's ass if she scratched you?"
"I would give her a spanking for sure!" Gamble vowed.
"My daughter?" Disick asked, to which Gamble confidently replied: "F--k yeah!"
This is where we must interject and state that even most people who believe in corporal punishment would hopefully stop themselves for spanking SOMEONE ELSE'S KID.
But not Gamble apparently.
"What are you talking about?" Scott pressed, growing visibly angry. "You would whoop my daughter's ass if she touched you?!?"
"No, scratched me," Corey explained, but this distinction did not exactly settle Scott down.
"A little 6-year-old girl? What the f--k are you talking about?! Stop it!" he yelled across the table.
Kim Kardashian attempted to intervene, saying she didn't think Corey meant "beat her," but Scott and Kourtney felt differently.
"You just said you would beat my daughter!" he screamed, as Kourtney added: "He does mean that. He does mean that."
Gamble was focused on the word whip, insisting he somehow only meant that as punishment, but Disick was just fuming at this point.
"Obviously, you don't have kids! Don't ever talk about a child like that! Ever! Ever! Anyone's child!"
This back and forth continued, too, wirh Gamble growing very defensive and upset himself.
"WHIPPIN' IS A DISCIPLINE, MOTHERF--KER! WHATCHU TALKIN' ABOUT?" he fired back, getting closer to Disick's face.
Again, this sort of is a real debate in parenting philosophies, but it's jarring to hear a non-family member tells a mother and father he would "whip" their six-year old.
"He's never gonna be with my kids alone!" Kourt said loudly. "And if he does that in front of any of us, there will be a f--king issue!"
The fiery exchange left Kris in tears.
The day after the explosive dinner, Corey tried to call Kourtney three times. But she didn't answer and neither did Scott, as all observers agreed Corey simply had too clarify that he simply meant he would spank his own child.
But that's not what he said.
"When it comes to discipline and your children...no one should judge," Khloe later Tweeted, adding:
"Everyone should do what's best for their family. We all may parent differently but I would always respect how my sisters choose to discipline."
