The road to domestic bliss has been a long and winding one for former Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco.
Following her brief and disastrous marriage to Ryan Sweeting the actress admittedly lost faith that she would ever find a suitable mate.
But then -- as in a fairy tale -- Mr. Right came galloping down the lane on a noble steed -- with a name that's eerily similar to Kaley's.
Back in July of 2018, Cuoco married Karl Cook, a fellow equestrian who seems like such a perfect match the internet initially thought he was invented for an April Fool's prank.
(Not only do Kaley and Karl share a love of horses, her last name means "cook" in Italian.)
But just over a year into their marriage, it seems Kaley and Karl's marriage is not what most folks would think of as ideal.
For starters, it seems the couple doesn't actually live together.
“We’re building our dream house and we’re eventually going to be under the same roof forever,” Kaley recently told E! News prior to admitting that she and Karl both sort of prefer living apart.
"We have a very unconventional marriage, you know. We have different locations that we’re at a lot. We’re not together every single day," she added.
But it's more than just professional obligations that keep Karl and Kaley apart.
Cuoco added that she “personally, it’s important” for her and Karl to have their own spaces away from one another.
The more Kaley talks, the more this sounds like a prime example of how becoming too rich too quickly can totally break your brain.
Along with her two-leading co-stars, Kaley signed a record-breaking contract for the final seasons of The Big Bang Theory, and the deal made her one of the wealthiest actors in the world overnight.
We're all for every couple doing whatever works for them, but getting married and continuing to live in separate homes in the obscenely expensive real estate market of LA is some mega-rich nonsense.
Like, separate rooms wouldn't suffice?
This is all pretty unexpected coming from Kaley who prides herself on being a homebody traditionalist.
In numerous interviews, Cuoco has stated she wants kids, and at this point, we're like ... she knows she's gonna have to live with them, right?
Like, if living separately is really what both she and Karl want, then more power to them.
But if this is a case of non-confrontational Kaley going along with whatever weird arrangement Karl wants, then it's sort of a bummer.
