Well, it certainly wasn't pretty, but at least it's finally over!
After months of bickering, back-biting, and nasty abuse allegations, Jenni Farley and Roger Mathews have finalized their divorce.
News that the disastrous marriage is legally at an end comes to us courtesy of Jenni's rep Robyn Matarazzo, who issued a statement Thursday evening.
"Jenni and Roger have reached an amicable conclusion and finalized their divorce," Matarazzo said.
"They remain devoted to co-parenting their children in a happy and healthy environment and they both wish each other the best."
Coincidentally -- or perhaps not -- occurred on the same day as the Jersey Shore episode that saw Farley making her most candid comments yet about her divorce ... and her new relationship.
Informed by the ever-classy Angelina Pivarnick that she needs to be "pounded out," Jenni revealed that she's already receiving ample poundings from her new boyfriend, Zack Clayton.
Earlier in the episode, Jenni made it clear to Angelina that she needs to STFU about her divorce, as doing otherwise would mean publicly commenting on an ongoing court case.
JWoww is famously not big on airing her dirty laundry -- she's one of those reality stars who futilely attempts to cling to a modicum of privacy -- but at times, the Roger situation got so ugly that she had no choice but to remark on it.
At first, it looked as though the former couple had managed to part ways amicably.
It wasn't long, however, before things turned ugly.
After Roger claimed that Jenni had him arrested, she felt compelled to offer her side of the story.
Farley accused Mathews of abuse, claiming not only that he became violent with her during arguments, but also that he was negligent in raising their children.
And she came equipped with receipts, including security camera footage that showed Mathews exploding during a fight in the former couple's home.
Anyway, we suppose the maudlin videos in which Mathews begs Farley to take him back are over for now.
With the help of a prenup, the couple has reportedly reached a settlement that both parties deem acceptable.
As for their two children -- 5-year-old Melani and 3-year-old Greyson -- the couple will reportedly share custody, with Roger remaining involved in his children's lives.
Divorce is always sad, of course -- but in this case, it really needed to happen.
