Tori Spelling: Warrant Issued For Actress' Arrest
by Tyler Johnson at .More bad news for the eternally-troubled Tori Spelling today.
If you keep up with her tumultuous personal life at all, you're probably aware that Tori is deeply in debt.
We're talking "more money than the last three generations of your family earned in their lifetimes"-level debt.
It's hard to put an exact figure on how much Tori owes the various creditors she's fleeced over the years, but suffice it to say, it's enough that despite her many privileges (wealth, whiteness, 90210 stardom) Spelling is now facing jail time.
According to E! News, Spelling failed to show up to a scheduled court hearing on March 29, and as a result, a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
The hearing was connected to the actress' legal battle with City National Bank, which is suing Spelling and husband Dean McDermott for their failure to pay back a $400,000 loan.
It's unclear when exactly Tori and Dean fell behind on their payments, but the bank filed suit in 2016, so it's safe to say it's been awhile.
Shockingly, this is not the first time that Tori has failed to appear in court, so there's a chance that the warrant will actually be enforced this time.
Of course, her bail has been set at $5,000, which is an amount that even a couple of broke-asses like Tori and Dean can probably scrape together.
Tori is currently out of the country, so she has yet to suffer any consequences for her absence.
According to her Instagram, Spelling is in Iceland shooting a commercial with Jenni Garth (who's looking very different these days, btw), which is why she was unable to make it to court.
As many outlets have pointed out, Tori could've just sent a lawyer in her place, but apparently she couldn't even be bothered to take that action.
Will Spelling actually end up behind bars for her latest infraction?
Probably not, but she's still got a whole slew of legal headaches lying in wait.
Tori owes money to numerous creditors, several of whom have filed six-figure lawsuits.
On top of that, Dean is still said to be facing jail time for unpaid child support owed to his first wife, Mary Jo Eustace.
Despite all of this, the Spelling-McDermotts seem to have no interest in scaling back their lifestyle.
We're guessing they're really pinning their hopes on that 90210 reboot becoming a massive hit.
