Congratulations, Pete Davidson! You made it to that step.
The step you take when a relationship is going great, so great that it is time to throw the relatives in the mix.
While most couples wait months or even years before bringing up their significant other, Kate Beckinsale is ready to show off her new man to the fam!
The 45-year-old actress was spotted having dinner at Nobu in Malibu on Tuesday evening with her mom Judy Loe, step-father Roy Battersby and boy toy Pete.
And while the restaurant gathering may have served as a chance for Pete to make his first impression, it also was a very tough day for Kate as it happened to be the 40th anniversary of her father's death.
Earlier on in the day, Kate made a sweet tribute to her late father Richard Beckinsale, an actor who died suddenly at 31 from a massive heart attack.
Kate was just 5 years old.
"40 years is a lot of missing. Thank you so much to everyone who has been kind. Lots of love xx," she wrote on her Instagram account alongside multiple pictures of her dad playing different roles.
She also included sweet snaps of her as a baby and a young child with her parents.
Davidson too lost his father, a New York City firefighter who died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, at the young age of 7.
The two have become extremely close over the past couple of weeks and Kate is "extremely happy with him," a source close to the actress recently told People.
"They have really similar senses of humor and she's always laughing with him," the insider added.
Ever since the pair hit it off at a Golden Globes after party, they have not been able to keep their hands off of each other.
They've been spotted holding hands in public twice and on March 3 they took it a step further after locking lips for the whole world to see at a New York Rangers game.
The comedian finally addressed his current relationship and their 20 year age gap (yikes) for the first time on Saturday Night Live.
During the end of Davidson's appearance on the Weekend Update segment, Colin Jost asked if his co-star had any new life developments, like "a new girlfriend?"
Pete froze up for a minute but finally decided to open up about his new flame.
"Apparently people have a crazy fascination with our age difference," the actor replied.
"But it doesn't really bother us. But then again I'm new to this."
It doesn't seem as though their double-decade age difference is putting a barrier on their love, because things are clearly getting pretty serious between the two.
Obviously, as he was spotted driving around Kate and her parents in a black Range Rover on Tuesday evening following their intimate dinner.
We just wonder if they approve of the 20 something-year-old, recently engaged to another woman, comic.
We're not sure if we hear wedding bells or Kate's parents sighing?
