Jenni Farley may have felt scared and alone during her marriage to Roger Mathews, but the MTV star's cast mates are now here to pass along an important message:
She isn't actually alone.
Late Wednesday, the long-time Jersey Shore personality posted a very long, very emotional and very troubling message about her estranged husband.
About four months after she filed for divorce and about six weeks after she filed for a restraining order against Mathews, Farley provided insight into her relationship on her official website.
And it was awfully ugly.
“You are an abuser to the core, Roger Mathews….” Farley wrote in this letter.
She documented how Mathews cheated on her and berated her and even put his hands on her at times, writing:
“You have spit at me. You have pushed me. You have shoved me. You have aggressively thrown me to the ground. You have prevented me from closing doors to escape having you coming at me.
"You have belittled and disparaged me. You have threatened me.”
Within hours of Farley sharing these disturbing words, many of her friends and colleagues have taken to social meda to shower JWOWW with support.
“Here for you ALWAYS & FOREVER my love,” Snooki, probably Jenni's best friend in life, commented on Farley’s Instagram post.
Deena Cortese also expressed her love in the same section.
“I love you so much J!! Your [sic] an amazing woman and mother,” she wrote. “I’m so lucky to call you my sister."
Elsewhere, Angelina Pivarnick simply added two emojis: praying hands and a red heart.
This prompted rumors of reconciliation, but that chatter died down immediately upon the order of protection Farley requested against her husband in December.
After the police escorted Mathews from his home following this late 2018 confrontation, he recorded a number of Instagram videos in which he blasted Farley as an irresponsible mother.
"This will be the hardest road I ever traveled no doubt for years to come but I will fight for my children and I have the truth on my side," he said in one of these videos.
"All I wanted was to stay together as a family and work on our issues and fight the good fight for greater good. I tried. I left everything I had on the table. Everything.
"In the end I must respect that’s not what the other side wanted but to use children as pawns is about the most disposable act a person can possibly do. This was never my wish nor my intent.
"My heart breaks for my children."
Now, however, Farley has tried to relay her truth to the public.
"YOU HURT THE CHILDREN AND YOU HURT ME. WHEN WILL IT END?" she asks in her new letter, adding:
YOU HAVE EMBARKED ON A CRUSADE TO ABUSE ME AND PLACE ME AND THE KIDS IN HARM’S WAY."
She also used capital letters to address Mathews directly, writing:
BE A MAN AND HOLD YOURSELF TO YOUR WORD THAT “YOU WERE NEVER WITH ME FOR MY MONEY, AND NEVER WANTED MY MONEY...”
CHOOSE TO BE AN AMAZING FATHER WHO RECOGNIZES THEIR HEALTH, WELL-BEING AND NEEDS AS A PRIORITY INSTEAD OF BEING IN IT FOR YOURSELF.
Along with her Jersey Shore pals, Farley has received words of encouragement from others in the world of reality television.
The Bachelorette’s Trista Sutter left a kiss emoji below Farley’s note; and The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Ashlee Holmes Malleo called Farley “very strong."
better all on their own,” Jacqueline Laurita’s daughter added.
“Don’t worry about them. You’re doing what you need to do. They’ll see Daddy’s immaturity and and disrespect one day and it will be no ones [sic] fault but his own. …
"At least now your truth has been spoken. Hang in there Mama.”
Mathews has not yet commented on anything Farley said in her letter... or on the video she shared along with it.
As you can see below, it appears to depict Mathews shoving his wife to the ground. Yikes.
