Shortly after she married Jeremy Vuolo in November 2016, Jinger Duggar became the first of her father's daughters to relocate.
Jinger not only fled the nest metaphorically, she packed up and left Arkansas, settling in surprisingly far away Laredo, Texas.
It's been said that Jim Bob Duggar, the patriarch of TLC's giant Counting On family, was less than thrilled by that development.
One can understand why ... and in turn, why he would be really unhappy about what the couple may have in store for us next.
Last week, the 30-year-old Jeremy got fans of the couple buzzing when he posted a tweet about a potential career change.
Linking to a post about a job opening at an organization called Banner of Truth, the former soccer pro tweeted the following:
"Ahhhhh!!! I told you this was my dream job."
The ecstatic tone led fans to believe that Vuolo had already accepted the position ... which would mean a major life change.
That would be a most interesting development indeed, as it would require the couple to move to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Banner of Truth's Twitter page describes it as such:
"A Christian organisation which publishes books, organises conferences, and publishes a monthly magazine. You are what you read."
Currently, as Counting On fans know, Vuolo works as a pastor, and he's been vocal about his passion for theological research.
Therefore, it's not hard to see why the position of editorial assistant at a Christian publishing company would appeal to him.
According to the Banner of Truth website, the job would have Vuolo directly involved in the publication of faith-based books and periodicals.
The description for Jeremy's dream job reads:
"The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the editorial work, from early manuscript development, to detailed editing, proofing, and page design."
It's still unclear if Vuolo has accepted or even applied for the job, but fans are speculating at what such a move might lead to.
Specifically, what the fallout would be in Tontitown, Ark., and just how much it would outrage Jim Bob for a number of reasons.
For starters, if Jim Bob was displeased when Jeremy and Jinger relocated to Texas, well, Scotland is a lot farther away than Texas.
If they said they were moving across the pond? Imagine how well the overprotective, patriarchal figure would take that news.
On top of that, Jim Bob and Jeremy differ in their religious beliefs, something which you wouldn't expect, but is nevertheless true.
The divide between them is deep enough that Jim Bob was reportedly hesitant about giving his daughter permission to marry Vuolo.
It seems the primary point of contention is that Jeremy is a Calvinist, a belief system that flies in the face of much that Jim Bob holds dear.
Though the movement began in France, there's a not-coincidental connection to Vuolo's potential career change here as well:
Scotland is considered to the epicenter of modern Calvinism, a designation that Jim Bob is no doubt very much aware of.
Is this the latest sign of a major rift in the family?
It's too early to say that, but we can tell you this:
Even toying with a move to Scotland would undeniably send a strong message to Jim Bob from both Jeremy and Jinger.
She's been openly rebelling against some of the draconian strictures of her childhood ever since she became a Vuolo.
Rocking tight jeans, shorts and other forbidden fashions is one thing, but imagine if she really upped the ante with this.
It's impossible to predict how Jim Bob would respond, but it will certainly be interesting to see how all of this plays out.
As always, you can follow the link to watch Counting On online and see if you can spot more signs of conflict between them.
