From the moment they get married, the women of the Duggar family instantly become subjects of non-stop pregnancy speculation.
We're sure it's annoying, but it comes with the territory of a surname that became famous for its propensity for procreation ...
Case in point:
It's only been two months since Joy-Anna Duggar married Austin Forsyth, but the couple has moved quickly from the start, so ...
We suppose it's no great surprise that fans are already talking babies, even if two months is barely long enough to confirm a pregnancy.
Of course, in this case they're being egged on by Jim Bob Duggar, who recently got Duggar Nation's hopes up in an interview.
What can fans expect from upcoming episodes of Counting On? The Duggar patriarch surprisingly weighed in on that very topic.
Speaking with OK! magazine, Jim Bob strongly hinted that his most recently married daughter already has a bun in the oven.
"It's probably going to be Joseph and Kendra, maybe their relationship, maybe getting a little closer and then, who knows?" Jim Bob mused.
As though pondering a metaphysical question with no true answer, he continued, "Maybe Joy and Austin will have a little one on the way."
"You never know what will happen."
The funny thing, of course, is that Jim Bob totally does know what will happen. He just doesn't want to give too much away.
Perhaps realizing that his Joy teaser gave away a bit too much, or was guaranteed to make headlines, JBD abruptly changed course:
"Maybe Jinger and Jeremy," Jim Bob said, as though just remembering that Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo last year.
Guy has a lot of kids, a bunch of whom have gotten married and begun their post-side-hug lives in recent years, so it's hard to keep track.
Still, gotta love how Jimbo talks about the goings-on within his family like he's speculating about what's gonna happen next on Game of Thrones.
At that point in the interview, his dutiful wife and mother of 19 humans Michelle Duggar jumped in to rescue her floundering husband.
"We've got more grandbabies on the way," she told the mag.
Jeez, that's how you deliver a teaser, Jim Bob!
Keep it open-ended, leave the people wanting more. Michelle may be out of the spotlight these days, but she's clearly mastered this.
You'd think Jim Bob would be better at this after so many years of cashing in on his children's personal lives, but hey, no one's perfect.
As always, you can watch Counting On online in order to get caught up in time for the hit TLC show's September 11 return.
Just don't go posting any spoilers.
It seems even Jim Bob doesn't know what's to come, and it's possible that his adult, married kids want to keep it that way.
Once they tie the knot, their allegiance and obedience is transferred from their father straight to their husbands, after all.
