If you're a Teen Mom 2 fan, you've probably heard the bombshell news by now that Kailyn Lowry is pregnant with her third child.
The announcement was met with a fair amount of controversy, as the baby has a different father than the MTV star's first two children.
As we recently saw with Jenelle Evans, a surprising number of fans have felt the need to trash Kailyn for having three baby daddies.
In Jenelle's case, however, she was dating - and on the verge of getting engaged to - the father of her third child, David Eason.
With Lowry, the immediate mystery of who is Kailyn's baby daddy has been as big of a story as the pregnancy itself thus far.
No one knows and she hasn't said.
She's still tight-lipped about it, but Kailyn has teased some new information about the father's identity, and naturally, fans are analyzing.
Piecing the clues together into theories is nothing new in the social media era, but now they actually have some to work with.
“The father is a friend Kail was briefly dating,” Lowry's publicist, Casi Densmore-Koon, tells celebrity gossip site Radar Online.
Don't expect a whole lot more than that now, though, says Densmore-Koon, who insists that the reality star is calling the shots:
“Kail will release that information when she’s ready.”
You'd think Lowry would have realized from her attempts to conceal her pregnancy that there are no secrets for public figures in 2017.
In fact, the Teen Mom Twitter-verse claims to have already narrowed the pool of Lowry baby daddies down to two suspects:
First, there's Tyler Hill, whom Kailyn allegedly cheated on Javi Marroquin during Javi's recent deployment with the U.S. Air Force.
More obsessive Kailyn fans may recall that she was spotted FaceTiming with Hill while Marroquin was overseas in mid-2016.
Marroquin, of course, took to Twitter - the best way to resolve personal conflict - to express his belief that his then-wife was dating Hill.
The other most common theory is that Kailyn briefly became romantically involved with one of Teen Mom 2's producers, J.C. Cueva.
If the rumors about Lowry and Cueva being more than just work friends were true, that would certainly explain why she's keeping it quiet.
It would make sense that both parties would want to keep the information on the DL, as such an entanglement could cost Cueva his job.
Whatever the case, her publicist isn't offering any more hints as to the father's identity for the time being, but is making one thing clear.
As for the rumors that the pregnancy was an accident, Densmore-Koon says there's absolutely no truth behind any of that.
“This was Kail’s choice and she is 100% happy," she tells Radar, adding that Lowry is due this summer and super excited about it.
"Kail can’t wait to welcome the new addition to her family.”
And it seems that Lowry will be keeping certain information not only from fans, but from herself for the upcoming few months.
“She will not find out the gender, just like she didn’t with Isaac and Lincoln," Densmore-Koon says, referring to her two sons.
The publicist concludes:
“Kail is thankful for the positive support and we thank her fans for respecting her privacy during this exciting time.”
We're sure the fans are happy to provide support - but respecting privacy and refraining from speculation is a different matter entirely.
