It's been one week since Jessa Duggar welcomed her second son, and she and husband Ben Seewald still haven't revealed the kid's name.
That's not unusual for the couple. In fact, it's what they do.
They're in the habit of waiting until a baby is born to pick a name so that they choose a moniker that fits the child's disposition (seriously).
At this point, it seems Jessa and Ben have settled on a name for their new arrival, but they're not yet willing to share it with fans.
However, they (and their family members) may have dropped some major hints via their various social media pages already.
Though Jessa and Ben haven't confirmed that they've officially named the child, Ben's mother, Guinn Seewald, seems to have spilled the tea.
Guinn posted a Facebook status update last week reading:
“Jessa had a boy Monday morning at 4am. 8lbs 11oz."
"And all is well with mom and baby. I believe Ben and Jessa finally decided on a name this morning and will announce soon.”
So unless Ben's mom is being misled for some reason, it looks like a name has been chosen for the adorable young man shown above.
Fortunately for the couple's nosier fans, Ben and Jessa enjoy dropping hints on social media, albeit ones that stop just short of a reveal.
As Duggar followers know by now, Jessa's first baby, Spurgeon Elliot, is named after Charles Spurgeon, a 19th-century British preacher.
In the days before she and Ben announced his name, they both posted sermons by the original Spurgeon on their Instagram pages.
No one picked up on that connection (after all, who names a baby Spurgeon) but it was a clever and clearly intentional move by Jessa.
Will it be one she'll repeat a second time this winter?
Fans are eagerly looking for similar hints on Jessa's social media pages, and they've been sharing their findings on social media.
Along similar lines as the aforementioned example, Jessa posted a hymn by Charles Wesley in the final days of her pregnancy.
The Seewalds eschewed the first name Charles when it came to Spurgeon, and they may do that again and go with Wesley.
But that's not the only late theologian who's received a shout-out from Jessa and her husband in the least several weeks.
She also posted lyrics to a hymn penned by A.W. Tozer, but to be honest, we're really hoping they're not going with Tozer.
That can't be their choice ... can it?
Currently, it seems the most widely accepted theory has to do with Jessa's newfound fondness for the evangelist J. Wilbur Chapman.
Jessa has been posting quotes from Chapman, and it seems he authored a biography of D.L. Moody, which could also be significant.
That would be namesake of the Moody Bible Institute where Ben studied before he became an unemployed Duggar in-law (kidding, mostly).
So Chapman Duggar? It could be worse.
Like, for example, Wilbur Duggar.
Jessa first introduced the precious child on video last week.
“We are so excited to introduce our little baby boy to the world," she said, calling it awesome to have "little boys close together in age."
"I know they’re going to be best friends and love growing up and doing everything together, so I’m looking forward to that."
There's nothing like a couple of boys clomping around.
"I know Ben’s probably going to have them out in the backyard playing football in the next couple of years!” Jessa added of their son.
While they knew it was a boy, the duo didn't share that until he was born - also their M.O. during her first pregnancy with young Spurge.
“It was definitely a challenge trying to keep the gender a secret,” added Ben, who last week hinted at a unique name for the youngster
What will it be?! Share your best guesses!
UPDATE, 2/14: The wait is over, at last!
Thanks to the couple's video announcement below, we finally know the Jessa Duggar baby name selected by the reality star herself.
Spoiler: It's super unique indeed!
