Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have been through a lot in the past year.
Catelynn checked into rehab to be treated for various emotional issues, and her battle with depression took a profound toll on her marriage.
For the most part, Tyler was supportive, and he stepped up to take on more household responsibilities in a fashion that earned him praise from Teen Mom fans.
However, there were some moments for which Tyler was rightly criticized, as well.
In one unsettling scene from the show's current season, Tyler seemed to "fat shame" Catelynn after she announced her intention to go on a diet.
The couple endured, and Tyler explained that he intended his comment to be a joke, but sympathized with those who were offended by the remark.
These days, it looks as though the Baltierras have put the difficult times behind them in more ways than one.
The couple recently received an outpouring of congratulations from fans as they celebrated their ninth anniversary together as a couple.
In addition, Tyler and Catelynn recently filmed an episode of the daytime talk series The Doctors, on which Catelynn reportedly opened about her emotional struggles in hopes of helping other young women who are coping with similar issues.
The episode has yet to air, but Catelynn is already receiving praise for courageously using her own experiences to help others.
She's also received dozens of heartfelt compliments from fans who noticed that Lowell seems to have shed a few pounds in recent weeks.
Baltierra posted the above photo on social media, along with a caption reading:
"Me & [Catelynn Lowell] will be on [The Doctors] NEXT FRIDAY talking about mental illness awareness! #SpreadTheWord,"
Like we said, Catelynn has been praised for her willingness to open up about the fight of her life, but Instagram is badically a shrine devoted to superficiality, so a larger percentage of comments was devoted to how fit and healthy she's looking these days.
No word on if she enrolled in Weight Watchers, as she initially planned, but whatever she's doing, it appears to be working.
We probably won't have to wonder about her methods for very long.
She's a Teen Mom, which means not only will she be endorsing some sort of diet product on the 'Gram by this afternoon, she probably also has a new memoir ready to hit stores next week.
