Amber Rose nearly got eliminated on Dancing with the Stars this week.
It came down to her against Rick Perry, with the former Texas Governor getting the heave-ho instead of the semi-famous model/talk show host/ex-girlfriend of Kanye West.
So Rose lives to move and shake for another day.
But if Rose does eventually get the boot from this reality competition, she's made it pretty clear that she won't go down without a fight.
First, according to third party sources, Rose stated that Dancing with the Stars is rigged.
"Amber saw the way Laurie Hernandez was given the top spot in the GMA cast announcement and it made her think that they are playing favorites," an insider told Radar online last week, adding:
"Amber feels like she is up against the system [because] the show could be fixed, and not in her favor."
Rose herself did not utter that accusation, of course.
On her latest Loveline with Amber Rose, however, the contestant told listeners that she felt "body shamed" when judge Julianne Hough commented on her week three "Booty" salsa with professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
"They did the commentary, and I... it was a point in the dance where I had to lift my leg up and Maks dipped me & [Julianne] said, 'Oh, I'm uncomfortable,' and instantly I felt, I did feel body shamed," Rose said.
"You know, all the beautiful professional dancers that are on Dancing With the Stars, I mean they dress very sexy and they do the splits and they grind up on these guys and they look absolutely stunning and get a standing ovation.
"And me, and my body, my hips, my ass, my breasts made her uncomfortable."
Here's a look at the Salsa in question:
The issue of body-shaming is a pretty sensitive one.
Which is why Hough felt a need to defend herself in a statement to E! News.
"To be clear, that was a produced package, not live coverage and they can put those sound bites anywhere," she explained.
"My 'uncomfortable' comment was about the fact that I felt like I wanted more out of the performance – when someone is doing a hot, sexy dance like that without the right amount of energy that is required, it can be uncomfortable to watch."
We actually agree.
Check out the performance above. Rose doesn't seem all that into it, does she?
Concluded Hough to E!:
"Trust me I'm ALL for a sexy booty dance!! We all know that!! And any kind of body shaming goes against everything I believe in."
Prior to Rose's comments about Hough went viral, Chmerkovskiy defended his partner as follows, speaking to Entertainment Weekly:
"I think a bit more constructive criticism from the judges would have been helpful.
"It made me so upset to see how sad Amber was after the judges' comments ... The bottom line is the song says 'booty, booty, booty' about 70% of the song, so there's no way we weren't going to work that into the dance!""
Do you think Hough owes Rose an apology?
Do you think Rose deserved to go home this week?
And how long do you see her sticking around the show this season?
