Just like that... it's all over for Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.
After weeks of ugly accusations and headline-making news stories, Heard and Depp had their divorce case settled and their legal split finalized today.
In very quiet, simple fashion.
The actress and actor, who got married in early 2015, filed legal papers on Tuesday in which Heard withdrew her request for a restraining order.
Back on May 21, she had alleged that her husband had physically assaulted her on many occasions.
But Heard dismissed the case with prejudice this morning, meaning she can never re-file it.
The divorce case, which was tied to the domestic violence petition, is also resolved.
It appears as if Depp will pay Heard around $7 million as part of the settlement, a figure that includes lawyer fees.
Not long after they were legally made not husband and wife, Heard and Depp issued a joint statement.
"Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love," it reads.
"Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.
"Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity."
This is all rather fascinating to pick apart.
First, there's the statement that neither party has made false accusations for financial gain, a clear reference to Heard alleging abuse against Depp.
She must have wanted this sentence put in to absolve her of claims that she only said this as a form of blackmail.
There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.
There was never "intent," huh? This almost reads like an admission by Depp that he did, indeed, get physical with Heard.
This part of the statement does not shoot down Heard's disturbing allegations, it just says neither side purposely hurt the other.
The divorce agreements comes just days after a video emerged in which Depp is seen yelling and slamming cabinets while in a heated argument with Heard.
A one-sided argument, really.
As you can see here, Depp is the only one who seems to be upset. And he seems to be VERY upset:
Mere days later, a went viral that purports to depict the actor's severed fingertip following another heated exchange with Heard.
Insider claim Depp sliced off the tip of his finger when he allegedly smashed several bottles and windows...
... and that he then dipped this tip in ink and scrawled a message on the mirror that accused Heard of sleeping with Billy Bob Thornton.
We're not making this up.
Thornton has since denied this rumor.
Heard was initially granted a temporary restraining order in May after claiming that Depp had verbally and physically abused her throughout their entire relationship.
She filed for divorce a few days prior.
Heard has spoken out a few times since this ugliness got started, most recently denying that she leaked the video above to the press.
Depp, meanwhile, has released statements here and there through his attorney.
But he has never personally commented on the split or accusations of abuse.
