As you've probably heard by now, Amber Heard requested a restraining order against Johnny Depp last week after claiming that the 52-year-old actor attacked her in a drunken rage that resulted in facial bruising and other injuries.
Heard told a Los Angeles County judge that Depp struck her with an i Phone and trashed their apartment in a blind fury. Now it seems those accusations may have only been the tip of the iceberg.
A close-up of Heard's face with injuries allegedly inflicted by Depp covers the new issue of People magazine.
Inside the issue, several new incidents of abuse are revealed, including one in which Heard claims that she feared for her life.
The 30-year-old actress says that "severe incident" left her with a black eye and several cuts on her lip.
Heard says that while that may have been the most frightening, it certainly wasn't the only such incident.
In court papers, she stated, "Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me for the entirety of our 4-year relationship."
Heard alleges that Depp arrived at her 30th birthday party in April "inebriated and high."
She claims that after the 52-year-old actor frightened off most of the guest he pulled her hair and "violently shoved" her to the floor.
In the days since she was granted a restraining order from Depp, friends of Heard's have come forward with shocking tales of abuse:
“I got to her apartment to find her with a cut and bruised lip, a swollen eye and a chunk of hair missing from the top of her head,” one insider tells Page Six.
“This incident really stuck with me because she confided in me that day that she feared for her life after an intoxicated Johnny tried to suffocate her with a pillow.”
“Their relationship turned sour almost immediately,” another associate of Heard's confirms.
“I have personally witnessed the aftermath of Johnny Depp’s violent and abusive behavior towards her on many occasions."
Heard has filed assault charges against Depp, but prosecutors may have difficulty proving her case.
Police were only called after the most recent incident that occurred on May 27, and reports indicate that they found no evidence of a crime.
