We now know that Kim Richards won't be going to prison, but that doesn't mean the troubled Housewife will be able to return to bar-hopping, pill-popping lifestyle.
Richards has been sentenced to probation, a year's worth of AA meetings, and 300 hours of picking up trash by the side of the freeway.
But despite her many commitments to the state of California, Kim has apparently found time to film new episodes of the show that made her famous.
Yes, even though Richards was fired from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills back in April, she was spotted shooting scenes with her sister, Kyle Richards, earlier this week.
Radar Online is reporting that as they wrapped up a lackluster season, producers realized they needed to inject some last-minute drama into the show.
They contacted Kim unexpectedly, and despite being unceremoniously given the boot a few months back, she was reportedly more than happy to be offered the chance to film with her sister.
Sources say Kim will not be returning to the series in a full-time capacity, but will be paid for her work as a "friend of the Housewives."
It's a bit surprising that she was asked back at all, as producers claimed that they parted ways with Kim because she needed time to focus on her sobriety and legal woes.
We guess in the world of reality television, ratings trump recovery every time.
