The Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson and on-again, off-again boyfriend Brooks Ayers have split up once again.
The couple confirmed that they have parted ways Sunday.
"After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four year relationship," the duo told Us in a statement.
"We both wish nothing but a great future for each other."
"We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths."
When we watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online, the remainder of this season (the 10th on Bravo) will show them as a couple.
However, Brooks Ayers and Vicki Gunvalson note that the decision to split is recent and "the filming took place in January through May 2015."
"There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives," they added, urging:
"Though we choose to live our lives in the public eye, we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time."
This isn't the first time Vicki and Brooks split, of course.
Back in 2013 they announced that they had parted ways after two years of dating, before reconciling after we learned that Brooks has cancer.
"[Cancer] either will tear you apart as a couple or bring you together. And with us, without a doubt, it's brought us together," Ayers said at the time.
Ayers even moved in with Gunvalson's Orange County home, much to the dismay of the longtime reality star's daughter, Briana Culberson.
"Briana and I, we've kind of agreed to disagree on this one subject," Gunvalson said, referring to the pair's often contentious relationship.
Why were relations between them so terrible?
"You told my husband, 'You have to start hitting Briana to keep her in line,'" Briana recalled Ayers saying (he confirmed that he drunkenly did).
Vicki's outspoken so-car Tamra Barney also feuded with Ayers publicly and nastily, though they recently reached a detente of sorts.
