Last week, we reported that the Caitlyn Jenner was pissed about low ratings for the much-hyped debut of her reality show, I Am Cait.
Sources say it wasn’t just the concern over being canceled that had the former Olympian down.
The long-simmering Kris Jenner vs. Caitlyn Jenner feud heated up after both made incendiary comments in Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair profile, and Caitlyn reportedly sees her reality show as an opportunity to put Kris in her place and prove that she can succeed on her own.
Unfortunately for Caitlyn, last week’s bad news turned into this week’s horrendous news.
As we said, the ratings for her show’s first week were not great. Now, Sunday night’s numbers are in, and it seems that the audience for I Am Cait Season 1 Episode 2 dropped by more than half!
Caitlyn went from 2.7 million viewers in week one to just 1.3 million this week.
Not only are those numbers abysmally low when compared to any random episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the fact that they’re getting worse week after week all but guarantees Caitlyn will not be renewed for another season.
In fact, many industry insiders believe she’s now at risk of being canceled.
Looks like Caitlyn may have underestimated the importance of having a PR mastermind like Kris working behind the scenes.
