Tyler Perry has penned an open letter to the public in regard to Bobbi Kristina Brown.
With the only daughter of Whitney Houston reportedly lying on her deathbed, the actor/producer/writer wrote on Facebook today that he "woke up" with Whitney on his mind.
He then continued, making a plea to pretty much everyone following this sad story:
"As difficult as this time is for the people that love both Whitney and Krissi, what makes it more egregious is the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time," Perry wrote.
"For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it."
Bobbi fell unconscious in her bathtub back on January 31.
While substance abuse has long been suspected as the basis for her condition, no official diagnosis has ever been offered.
All these months later, Bobbi remains unconscious and most hope for her recovery is gone.
"It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something awful," Perry continued. "So much so, that they find it OK to speak death onto those who are still alive.
"May I ask you all to please show some decency and respect?"
Perry concluded by saying the family will make a formal statement whenever there is anything to comment on... and, until then, "can we just pray for Krissi, and the Houston and Brown families?"
Seems like a fair request, doesn't it?
