Earlier this week, we reported that Tyga was cheating on Kylie Jenner with transgender porn star Mia Isabella.
Several media outlets claimed that screen shots from explicit text messages between Tyga and Mia had leaked online but were quickly removed.
While Tyga has yet to speak publicly on the matter, Mia (or someone claiming to be Mia) has repeatedly insisted that the rumors are true and that she and the rapper carried on a three-year affair.
At one point Isabella (or a fake Isabella) threatened to post a Tyga sex tape that she claimed would verify her version of events.
The model and adult actress has avoided the media in the days since news of the scandal broke, but she issued a statement to Us Weekly today that focuses less on her current tabloid drama and more on the plight of transgender individuals in the US:
"It's very sad that the idea of a man loving a trans person has to be considered a scandal when all people are equal...If a celebrated man loves a transgender woman or possibly did that's news? It shouldn't be news it should be normal for everyone."
“I am sad that our beautiful community is still treated like second-rate individuals by some and used to create negative publicity, despite the recent progress in our beautiful country to accept the LGBT community as widely celebrated in a recent Supreme Court ruling, even an Irish vote in favor of LGBT rights. Aren’t all people equal? Isn’t love for all?”
We agree with Mia's sentiments about the plight of trangender individuals, but we think the media outlets that have taken an interest in her possible relationship with Tuga have done so not because of her trans status, but because Tyga is dating Kylie Jenner.
We think we speak for the entire celebrity gossip community when we say that as long as Tyga is still with Kylie, he could hook up with a man, a woman, or some sort of sexy cactus, and people would want to know about it.
