While Scott Disick is getting ready to host another party in Las Vegas, Kourtney Kardashian is gearing up for something slightly more important:
The battle for her children.
According to Us Weekly sources, the reality star and mother of three has met with Laura Wasser, one of the top divorce attorneys in Hollywood.
Kourtney reportedly plans to seek sole custody of the kids she shared with Disick: Mason, 5, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 7 months.
Kourtney and Scott never got married, of course, and the former is intent on protecting the children from Disick’s onward downward spiral.
The self-proclaimed Lord has been on a partying binge of late, possibly even hosting an orgy with young women at his home earlier this month.
He did not attend Penelope’s third birthday gathering in Disneyworld and left his daughter a very impersonal message in honor of the occasion.
Kardashian and Disick currently do not have a formal custody arrangement of any kind.
However, sources tell Us Weekly that a drawn out battle over the children is not expected to take place.
"Scott’s friends don’t think he’ll challenge Kourtney," one says, while another adds that Disick "doesn’t act like a dad at all when he’s partying."
As for Wasser, she has worked in the past with stars such as Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds, Ashton Kutcher in the dissolution of their marriages.
