It's a major milestone for any couple, but it's a particularly big deal for Kim whose last marriage didn't even make it to the 3-month mark.
Given the extravagance of Kim and Kanye's wedding (There were gold toilets, in case you forgot.) and the couple's baller approach to marking major occasions (Kim recently rented out the Staples Center for Kanye's birthday.), we expected some sort of over-the-top celebration that would remind the world that the Wests are currently Hollywood's top power couple.
Instead, we got PJs and Troop Beverly Hills:
Kim first hinted that the couple would be making their anniversary a low-key fashion in an interview back in April.
"We were supposed to go to Africa," Kim said. "A good friend got us a safari for our wedding gift. [But] I think we're just going to stay home and chill out.
And chill out they did. According to Us Weekly, the couple spent the entire weekend in bed.
No, it wasn't some 48-hour bone-a-thon (though we imagine there was a fair deal of that going on), instead, it was just Kim, Yeezy...and their personal bartender/breakfast-maker.
Yes, insiders say the Wests spent the weekend noshing on bacon and eggs and sipping blender drinks. Of course, this would've been a couple months after the couple found out Kim is pregnant with her second baby, so Mrs. West stuck to coconut water.
As the icing on the cake, the couple reportedly watched the 1989 Shelley Long comedy Troop Beverly Hills, a favorite of Kim's.
But while Kim was on the wagon, Yeezy sipped some piña coladas made to his exact specifications. Apparently, Ye's obsession with the gooey concoction is legendary among his friends.
Longtime associate Theophilius London once said that 'Ye has been known to order the drink "three times because they didn't make it properly."
Yes...Kanye likes piña coladas. And watching lame '80s flicks. Kim drinks coconut water. That's how she gets her kicks..."
Ya know what? We've actually written a whole Kimye-based version of "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)," but we'll save it for their next anniversary.
It'll be more special that way.
