Justin Bieber is on Team Kylie Jenner.
Over the weekend, Kylie posted a seemingly innocent photo of herself rocking some cornrows, only to antagonize actress Amandla Steinberg with the look.
The former Hunger Games star took Kylie to task for basically co-opting an African-American look and passing it off as her own.
Wrote Steinberg in response to Jenner's Instagram photo:
"When u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter."
Kylie then wrote back and told Amandla to go "hang w Jaden or something," a reference to Jaden Smith, someone both young women may have had a romance with.
So, how does Bieber feel about this flap?
"Guys leave her alone, were all trying to figure it out and she happens to be under a microscope!" Bieber wrote on Jenner's Instagram page. "I’m the first to know this."
It certainly is true that Justin Bieber has faced his share of criticism for his share of behavior, often saying in interviews that he's just a human who is challenged by celebrity.
He went on:
"Saying she’s being racist because she wants her hair in braids is ridiculous," Justin added, taking a longer view of society and adding:
"Lets focus on the bigger picture and instead of fighting over something stupid lets do something about equality."
"But it doesn’t start here blasting a 17 year old kid for wearing braids smh."
Bieber has been close to the Kardashian and Jenner families for years.
Back in 2014, Kylie stood up for Bieber when police raided the latter's house in an attempt to find egging evidence.
