As Bobbi Kristina Brown lives out her final days in hospice care, details about how the 22-year-old's harrowing life with Nick Gordon continue to emerge.
Yesterday, Bobbi Kristina's final text messages were leaked online.
In the texts to an unidentified friend, Krissi stated that she lived in fear of Gordon, who often flew into violent, drug-fueled rages.
Now, Bobbi Kristina's best friend, Alex Reid, is speaking out for the first time about the abuse that Krissi allegedly suffered while living with Gordon.
"Krissi was physically abused by Nick on a number of occasions and she told me about some of them," Reid tells E! News.
Ried adds that Gordon forced Bobbi Kristina to completely cut ties with her family and isolated her from most of her friends.
"I know of at least four occasions when he struck her," Reid says. She also told me about how he had tried to choke her once. She was definitely scared. She had some friends, but not many.
"It just kept getting worse and worse...He was known to choke her. Throw into walls, punch her in the jaw. Just unbelievable stuff."
Reid says the death of Whitney Houston left Krissi vulnerable, and Gordon took full advantage.
"Krissi was just a teenager when she lost her mom," Reid says. "She did not get proper therapy, and instead was just living alone with her older boyfriend struggling to heal.
"She needed support and unconditional love, so she desperately clung to Nick in the hopes of finding that in him."
"Instead, she got physically abused, emotionally abused, disrespected and taken advantage of."
As we reported earlier, Gordon is likely to face murder charges when Bobbi Kristina passes away.
Police suspect foul play in the near-drowning that left Brown comatose, and Gordon has reportedly been a person of interest from day one.
